I am writing Tyler, Raelyn, and Ashton (my nieces and nephews on my side) names on the plastic Easter eggs I bought for Saturday. Dinner at our house. Yay! And I am hiding the eggs. It was my favorite part about Easter, and still is!
Here is my fake Sharpie marker I bought at a flea market in a huge pack...
This marker lets off the best fumes. Makes me so loopy!
Tyler and Ashton done, Raelyn next! The names don't have to be legible do they?Kids don't care as long as there is chocolate in them!
So, I promised some more before and after photos of the house. I will see what I can dig up! Can't promise the best. I wasn't too smart about the before pictures. I got excited half way through and took a lot of "during" and "after" photos though. Be right back!
Those shoes are not mine.... but this picture shows off the pretty floor we have.
Good-bye ugly wallpaper and extremely laquered pine boards!
This picture shows all the way into the living room. Again this is before the old homeowers moved out. And that ugly wallpaper you see wayyyy back there...? Yeah, those are pine trees. Only on one wall. And that came down the very day we moved in. Thanks to my sister in law, Julie and mother in law, Lynn. While we moved everything in, they sprayed and scraped and scraped some more. Then they even talked the boys into helping! Thanks everyone!
Hello SANDER!! I even came home on my lunch breaks and peeled the wallpaper off to get this project moving along. The only motivation in our household is to do something drastic like ripping the wallpaper down, then staring at it enough to get us to finish it!
My super-sweet putty job. I thought I rocked this. When we peeled the paper off the wall, the 17 layers of lead based paint came with it, leaving a huge layer difference in the wall. EEEEK!
The wood almost looks pretty here... Thanks Dad for letting us use the Shop-Vac!
My super-sweet Zoolander pose. Too bad my mask is on and you can't tell.
Sanding is harder than I thought! But so fun! After a while, you can't even feel your arms!
Next showing, is our current project. Dean has ripped up all that bluey-green carpet from all the stairs. Boy, that was a chore! There hundreds and hundred of staples. That was allllll him. :)
This picture above shows my favorite part of my stair case. The rounded ledge thingy. I don't know the proper name of it. All I know is that there will be a bookshelf from end of rounded thingy to the wall and around the corner of the other and I will be placing a plant on this thing. It's going to look lovely!
Grungy, glue covered stairs! Once beautiful.. but so many years of wear and tear and drill holes has left you RUINED!
Dean's putty job. Pretty rockin'.
Gross!
Hello stair case of my dreams! I see you!
Yeah, THAT grungy, green carpet.
Here's the man, hard at work.
The finished project. Paint and primer for the stairs and everything ready!
And last but not least, my two girls. Viva and Vegas. Beautiful as ever!
Goodnight! Thanks for reading! <3
