So, I know it's been a really, REALLY long time since I have posted ANYTHING on there. Seems lately, all I have time for is creeping through everyone elses blog, or making wreaths. And making wreaths alone is almost a full time job. Especially with Christmas coming up. (So soon, too!)
So on here, I wanted to post a few wreaths. And maybe some tutorials, for the copy cats I have made. I will link up where the credit is due of course!
My favorite wreath I have made so far is a Halloween wreath. And because Halloween is sooo close and spooky, I will show you this one first!
Unfortunately, I did not get any close up shots. But I will tell you, I GLITTERIZED this guy to the extreme. Almost every Dahlia flower and leaf is lined with glitter. I had sooo much fun making this wreath. And yes, that is definitely Eucalyptus you see there.
I bought this wreath from a store here called Savers. It's like a huge thrift store, with decent prices. A little higher than most, but better quality things. The wreath put me out a whopping $3.99. And I added a few flowers before I spray painted. All in all, the wreath took me several hours out of several days to complete, between spray paint coats and letting the glitter and glue dry. But I love it! I also wrapped some black netting around the back to add to size of it. Otherwise it looked pretty small still. I also hand painted the spiders with Elmer's glue and glittered them as well. And the purple lights I added were from Rite-Aid on their half off deal for Halloween decor. I even picked up another wreath for the one I am making my niece. They're small but pack a lot of punch.
And all this inspiration came from a wreath I saw here.
That's all for now. I will be back later this week.
